الأعزاء جميعاً …

الكلدان في جميع أنحاء العالم أصبحوا اليوم على يقين بأن هنالك مستويات متعددة للناشطين والمؤمنين بالهوية الكلدانية، البعض منهم يتحدثون كثيراً ولا يفعلون شيئاً، البعض الآخر يودون أن يساعدوا ولكنهم يتأخرون عن العمل معللين ذلك التردد بأعذار يقنعون بها أنفسهم، البعض الآخر يتمنى أن يساعد ولكنهم هم أنفسهم بحاجة إلى المساعدة.

على كل، بإستثناء قلة قليلة من السياسيين ورجال الدين المتحمسين، فأن أسوأ السيئين بين كل المجاميع المذكورة أعلاه هم هؤلاء الذين يتحدثون بأسم الكلدان في المحافل ليل نهار، مع أن دافعهم الوحيد هو السلطة والجاه مستغلين مآسي وعذابات الكلدان. نحن نعرف معظم هؤلاء الأشخاص جيداً بالأسماء أو من خلال مناصبهم، لأنهم وبكل بساطة يعتبرون أنفسهم قادة روحيون ومدنيون، مع أن مفهوم القيادة عندهم لا يتعدى حدود أكتناز المزيد من الأموال والحصول على الأعلى من المناصب.

ولهذا أيضاً لا يطيقون التعامل مع أناس من نوعي، من أكاديميين، ناشطين، وقادة مدنيين ورجال دين ممن يؤمنون قلباً وقالباً بالقضية الكلدانية ويضحون من أجل الكلدان بكل غال ونفيس.

شخصياً، أؤمن بأن الهدف من إطلاق (صفحة التواصل الإجتماعي هذه الخاصة بالكتاب) هو من أجل توصيل رسالة الكتاب العظيمة الأهمية إلى الآخرين.

الكلدان، سكان العراق الأصليون، يتعرضون اليوم لإضطهاد متواصل وتمييز عرقي- ديني وسوء معاملة، وإغتصاب فتياتهم بذريعة وأخرى، ناهيكم عن التجاوزت الحاصلة على أراضيهم وعقاراتهم وممتلكاتهم، وأيضاً حرمانهم من أبسط حقوق المواطنة في الحصول على فرص متساوية في العمل والدراسة والبعثات، وغير ذلك من تجاوزات متواصلة.

إستحسان الصفحة مسألة ننظر لها بتقدير عال، لكن هذا الإستحسان لا يساعد هؤلاء الكلدان الذين ما زالوا يعيشون في الوطن الأم (بيث نهرين)، أو حتى بإمكانه أن يوقف حملات التصفية العرقية – الدينية الشنيعة لقلعنا من وطننا الأم.

هذه الأعمال المتواصلة وغير العادلة تتخذ عدد من المسارت، من بينها فرض الإسلام على الكلدان (بطريقة أو بأخرى)، ومنها أيضاً تهجيرهم من منطقة إلى أخرى من أجل تعريبهم أو تكريدهم، بينما يقف العالم كله معقود اللسان!

بالمحصلة، نحن الكلدان لن نخسر هويتنا القومية التي تم الحفاظ عليها لآلاف السنين ولكننا معرضون لأن نخسر شرعيتنا وحقوقنا بصفتنا سكان العراق الأصليين.

بعد هذا الذي ذكرت، يهمني أن أؤكد وبكل وضوح، بأنني قد فعلت ما هو مطلوب مني (بحكم إنتمائي الكلداني)، حيث قضيت أكثر من ثلاثين عاماً في دراسة تاريخ وادي الرافدين، وأكثر من 25 عاماً في تأليف الدراسات والكتب عن سكان العراق الأصليين (الكلدان) والبحوث المرتبطة بهم. مثلما صرفت ما يزيد على أربعين ألف دولار فقط، من أجل تهيئة الدراسة ونشر كتاب القصة اللامروية عن سكان العراق الأصليين.

لهذا أرجو منكم اليوم أن تقفوا معي وتساهموا في رفع شيء من الحمل الذي أحمله على كاهلي على طول السنين من أجل مساعدة شعبنا في الحصول على حقوقهم، ليس بصفتهم مواطنين من الدرجة الأولى حسب، ولكن من أجل أن يتم تمييزهم بصفتهم (سكان العراق الأصليين). أنا لا أستطيع أن أفعل ذلك بمفردي، ولا أحد يستطيع أن يفعل ذلك بمفرده لأن اليد الواحدة لا تصفق، وحتى أن تمكن أحدهم من فعل ذلك فأنه لن يتمكن من فعل ذلك بشكل متقن.

أن تأدية دوركم في دعم الأمة الكلدانية ليس منة أوفضل، كما أنه من ناحية أخرى ليس صعباً كما قد يتصور البعض. الأهم من هذا وذاك أننا لا نستطيع أن نؤجل مساهمتنا هذه إلى الأجيال القادمة، لأنني أقولها وبكل صدق: لن تكون هنالك أجيال قادمة، إذا لم يؤدِ كل منا الدور المطلوب منه!

أن دوركم بسيط جداً قياساً بالهدف النبيل (نشر الكتاب) الذي يهدف إلى مساعدة الكلدان العصيين على الفناء من أجل البقاء.

بين الخيارات المتعددة المتاحة، يمكنكم أن تفعلوا التالي:

1- شراء نسخة واحدة من الكتاب، لأنكم من دون معرفة حقوقكم أو تمييز مدى الظلم الواقع على الكلدان، لن تكونوا مهيئين للوقوف دفاعاً عن حقوقكم وحقوق بقية الكلدان في العالم.

2- أشتر نسخة من الكتاب وأهديها لمكتبة المدرسة / الجامعة التي يدرس فيها أبنائكم.

3- أشتر نسخة واحدة من الكتاب وأهديها لمسؤول حكومي في مدينتك أو المقاطعة أو الولاية.

4- أشتر نسخة واحدة من الكتاب وأهديها للمكتبة العامة في مدينتك أو مكتبة المقاطعة أو الولاية.

5- أشتر نسخة من الكتاب في أية مناسبة دينية أو وطنية وقدمها كهدية متميزة ومعبرة لصديق أو شخص يهمك.

6- إذا لم يكن بإمكانك شراء نسخة من الكتاب، فما بالك إذا ما سعيت إلى إطلاع المؤسسات والأشخاص المذكورين آنفاً، حول أهمية إقتناء نسخة من الكتاب من أجل معرفة أفضل عن الكلدان.

إذا كنت تعتقد بأن الخيارات السابقة صعبة التنفيذ، فما عليك إلا أن تفهم بأن (لا أمل لنا في البقاء)، ولكن إذا كنت تعتقد بأن بمستطاعك أن تؤدي بعض أو كل ما ذكرت آنفاً، فأنك (كلداني حقيقي) وأنك أحد هؤلاء المدافعين الغيارى عن حقوق الكلدان.

تذكر دائماً، بأن أجدادنا عبر كل العصور ينظرون إلينا في هذه اللحظة، ليس من الأعالي ولكن من أعماق ضمائرنا ليميزوا واحدنا عن الآخر، من هو المخادع والمرائي المتشيطن ومن هو المخلص المتحمس والمؤمن.

أخواتي وأخوتي الكلدان الأعزاء أرجو أن تفهموا بأن إستحسانكم لصفحة التواصل الإجتماعي هذه ليست الهدف من نشرها أصلاً، ذلك أن هذه الصفحة هيّ (دعوة مفتوحة) للمساعدة في إيصال رسالة الكتاب البالغة الأهمية (إلى الآخرين).

أما لهؤلاء الذين يتحدثون كثيراً فأقول لهم: الكلام رخيص، لذلك توقفوا عن الكلام وأبدأوا بالعمل، لأن ما ينجز العمل هو (الأفعال لا الأقوال).

If You Have Faith in the Chaldean Nation … Then You Need to Do Your Part!

Dear all,

Chaldeans from all around the world may understand now that there are many levels of Chaldean believers and activists; some talk a lot and do nothing, some would like to help but they continuously postpone their involvement because of whatever reason they give to justify their hesitation, and others still would love to help but they themselves are helpless.

However, except for a very small portion of truly committed political-religious figures, the worst of all the aforementioned groups are those who you would find talking in the name of Chaldeans day and night with their only motive being to gain power and control from Chaldeans’ suffering and ordeals. We know most of this group very well by name and position, simply because they are the so-called sectarian-secular leaders and, for them, leadership is only about making more money and rising to higher positions. This is also why they do not get along with people like me, scholars, activists, and other politician/clergy Chaldeans who really believe in the cause and sacrifice a lot in the name of Chaldeans.

Personally, the only purpose for creating this social page is to help in delivering the crucial message of the book. Chaldeans, the indigenous people of Iraq, are subjected to ongoing persecution, discrimination, mistreatment, raping of their women under many names and banners, violation of their land and properties, and prohibition from the simplest jobs, studies, scholarship opportunities, etc.

Liking the page is highly appreciated, but this will not help our people who are still living inside our homeland, Iraq (Beth-Nahrain), or even stop the vicious campaigns to eliminate them from their motherland. These unfair and ongoing practices take many paths, including converting them (one way or another) to Islam in Iraq or relocating them from one region to another for the purpose of either Arabizing or Kurdizing them, while the entire world is tongue-tied!

In the end, we CHALDEANS are not just going to lose our identity that was kept alive for thousands of years, but we will also be subjected to losing our legitimate rights as the Native Iraqis.

Having said that, I would like to clearly state that I did my part by spending over thirty years studying Mesopotamian history, more than 25 years writing books about our indigenous people and other related historical studies, and more than $40,000 carrying out and publishing The Untold Story of Native Iraqis only!

Thus, I am urging you now to stand with me, to carry the torch alongside me and lift some of the burden that I have been carrying on my shoulders throughout the years to help our people gain their rights and true status in Iraq, not as first class citizens but also as the only recognized indigenous people of Iraq. I cannot do it by myself and no one can do it either if he/she works alone. One hand cannot clap alone, and even if someone is capable of doing that, it will not be as faithful as doing it the right way.

Doing your part is not a favor, and it is definitely not as difficult as one might think. It is also not something that we could offer postponing to the next generation, because honestly, by not doing our part we might not have a next Chaldean generation!

Your task is an easy and simple one, compared with the noble goal aimed at helping the Diehard Chaldean Nation to survive.

Among many options, you can do the following:

1- Buy one book to learn about Chaldeans; without knowing about your rights and recognizing the ongoing, unfair persecution, you will not stand up for your rights and the rights of Chaldeans all over the world.

2- Buy one copy of the book and contribute it to the school / University library of your children.

3- Buy one copy of the book and contribute it to an official in your city, county, or state.

4- Buy one copy of the book and contribute it to the public library of your city, county, or state.

5- Buy one copy of the book during any religious / national occasions and events and give it as thoughtful gift to a friend or a person for whom you care.

6- If you cannot afford buying a copy of this book, then how about letting the abovementioned institutions and peoples (schools, libraries, and officials) know about the importance of getting a copy of the book to better understand Chaldeans.

If you think that the above tasks are difficult, then, believe me, we do not have chance to survive, but if you think that you can do part or all of the above simple tasks, then you are a true Chaldean and you are one of those freedom fighters for the rights of our people.

Remember that our ancestors throughout the ages are looking at us this very moment not from above but from the deep abyss of our conscience to find out who is who – from the deceiver and Lucifer to the committed and faithful one.

My dear Chaldean brothers and sisters please understand that liking the page is not the goal, but it is an open call to help in delivering the essential message of the book.

For those who talk a lot, I say talk is cheap so enough talk, act instead, because what always get the job done are deeds, not words.
